I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember. I was always the one taking ten books on a two-week family holiday. Then I became a teacher and spent fifteen years teaching young people about the power of books. 

 

To cut a long story short (because no one needs to know the ins and outs of my life), I became an editor in July 2023 and founded Spice Me Up Editing. In April 2024, I made the decision to make editing my full-time job, and in November 2025, I taught my last lesson! 

 

I live in the UK, but work in both US and UK English. My clients will tell you I have a tendency to make them codependent, which I take to mean I’m very supportive! I offer multiple rounds of editing, allowing me to focus on your manuscript from its first draft to being finished and on my trophy shelf!

 

I primarily edit romance fiction, but will also work on romantasy books (because who doesn’t love being transported to an alternate universe). I’d like to think I’m fairly unshockable when it comes to all things spicy, which you can absolutely take as a challenge. I will happily work on MF, MM, FF, and poly/why choose romances.
